'New York, New York': Archer Hotel and the Garment District

nyc16_trip

The next instalment of our trip to NYC back in May. We had such an ace time, I couldn’t condense it down to a single post, so I’m tackling the city by districts. This one is all about the Garment District and our hotel, Archer Hotel, which is situated at the top of the district on W38th, just below Times Square and Midtown. I’ve also written a review of the hotel over on Trip Advisor - it was a really cool place to stay and I would certainly recommend it.

'New York, New York': flying and the Chelsea District

nyc16_trip

Just over a month ago, Dave and I travelled to New York City for a five day break - it was his first trip and my third, so I showed him the sights and we found a few new interesting places on our travels, too. I’ve written up what we did during our time there; it’s done by district as a (mostly) day by day account. We fit in so much each day that there’s quite a lot to cover. Start as you mean to go on

Fitness

I’m not into New Years resolutions, as I rarely stick to them, but the one thing I did stick to for the last couple of years is getting fitter and trying to lose some weight; that is until about six months ago.

Ray's Pizza

Rays Pizza

A little while back, D and I went to Ray’s Pizza for dinner. You’ll find it at The Lanes bowling alley just off Nelson Street: keep walking down from Broadmead/The Galleries, past the old H&M store and it’s straight in front of you. Having tried it once before on a birthday night out with friends, I had to go back again as they do some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.
